Touchpad gestures

I imagine we can fully navigate the viewport with touchpad gestures. I mean with 2 finger gestures, now we have already can orbiting the viewport, but still need to hold shift botton to pan,
why dont we use 3 finger gestures to pan the viewport so we dont need to use shift botton again. Than fully navigate the viewport through the touchpad
