Append/Import node in Geometry Nodes
It would be convenient to be able to import some objects from disk using a node. And also attach some objects from other blender projects to the current project using a single node. Such an opportunity exists in Cinema 4D in their nodes and, as I understand it, there is also in Houdini. So far, to access an object in another blender project, you first need to import it into the current one, and then drag the object from the outliner to the geometry node window. This feature would improve the procedurality and would allow you to replace/update a file on disk and it would be automatically updated in the node tree in the project.

I agree with you, having the possibility to import an object.obj in blender and export it would make geometry node a tool used not just for motion-design or modifiers, but would allow to create complete pipeline (just like it's possible to automate some process in houdini to generate massive terrains with lot of rules or like photogrammetry processing
Having for example the possibility to export .obj from a loop-node that pass it's id to a string join would allo to export one .obj per frame for example (currently not possible with python scripting) (I know there exist .abc or .vdb format for that but it's just an example)
even rhino 8 implemented this in grashopper (parametric node based tool of rhino) recently. this will also open door for building information modelling.
