a few things about the search

i wanted to add an "extrude node" so i typed in "extru". I convinced myself that should be enough letters so that only entries with the word "extrude" could show up, but search typo forgiveness allows there to be 2 letters incorrect, so everything in the category"external" showed up. i.e. "File>External Data>whatever"

first, who types external that incorrectly, second this kind of thing happens all the time with all kinds of searches second its my belief that, if your searching for a category, you shouldnt be allowed any typos because people just dont DO that.

anyway, I tried to put myself in the shoes of someone that types external as "extrunal" and, as soon as i entered the 'n', zero results popped up, which really confuses me and i think should be tweeked,

if youre typing a long word really fast, you might make a mistake, I get that. but if your typing only 4 or 5 letters, you are given way more leeway and get way more results than you could ever want.

it would be really nice if search forgiveness was scaled with the number of characters typed, say you are allowed 1 wrong character for every 7 characters you type.

I'm not sure in which blender.today livestream it was but from 3.2 If I remember correctly blender should take into account the order of letters. So your first problem would be gone.
