Cycles rendered view in quad view should only render the perpsective view
So I feel like this is an optimization more than anything but to have 4 views being rendered at the same time in Cycles rendered view is a system killer and hurts the purpose of viewport rendering. I imagine it'd be more useful if only the perspective rendered while the other 3 views are left alone. I figure this would help performance and improve quad-view workflow a bit.
I don't think this idea needs to extend into Eevee render view since realtime rendering is its function and performance is not much of a concern.

If I recall correctly, the default answer to this has been that if you want this kind of behavior, it may be better to have your own custom layout with four separate 3D Views than making use of a single 3D View with quad view enabled.
I think it's been years people ask the quad views to be unlinkable. So we can switch interaction modes & shading modes individually.
