If mp4 render crashes dont currupt the video
Whenever i am rendering a mp4 directly from blender, if blender closes unexpectedly for whatever reason, the entire video gets currupted.
Can it be so that the video does not get currupted and a video is made till the last frame before blender closing so i can just render the rest and combine them later instead the entire video bing currupted
PS this is what i have set on export settings FFmpeg video>encoding: mpeg4

make render as .EXR
Image Sequenceand encode video after all render images are done, as wrote LOLock and how make all 3D studiosThe issue is how mp4 works. Not blender.
Use mkv instead, on picture files like EXR as does any production.
* @-L0Lock- * ya i did png sequance after i realised mp4 gets corrupted when render fails. i just thought if there could be a solution made for the mp4 problem. as they are small and you dont have to go around converting them later for small projects.
basicly my client wanted mp4 so i directly started rendering an mp4, ended up biting me in the bumm
* @beenjohn * AFAIK you fin one
wrongworkaround to not use proper render workflow, but render time for your project is yours, so all good here
