All the Nodes deserve icons
While Blender is moving towards a fully Node Based workflow one thing is often overlooked and that is some icons for the Nodes.
I know it seems unnecessary now. But i can tell it's going to be a huge deal in the upcoming future.

The best thing about Blender is they haven't fallen into the 1990s trap of feeling like EVERYTHING needs an icon like in Maya and Max.
#1 I don't see colors well
#2 I'm getting old and soon won't see much of anything well
#3 since my early youth I've found it hard to distinguish between icons. The thing I like most about OSX over Win10 is that the names of the app IMMEDIATELY appear over their icon in the dock so I can JUST READ instead of trying to identify an icon.
You can't ctrl+f or F3 and "find" an icon. You find words.
* @thinsoldier * Yes Softimage was slick. No icons just texts. Loved it.
* @vangel * it's not always good, it's depend of mind. Imagine how work mind and the computation. Icons have sense thats exist, as near subconscious reactions for reality. By text you must "thinking", you consuming energy. If you are native then more easy. I back to blender after icons and new GUI :D Before was coarse for me.
* @ManBlender * I never enjoyed icons in 3dsmax or elsewhere. Text also has an optical component to it, all look different not only read different. Plus it has this 100% certainty to it, less stress because there is no guessing work. Also while you can forget the look of some seldom used icons you will never forget how to read,
* @vangel * So many seconds wasted holding my mouse over an icon waiting for the tool-tip text to appear. One of my old co-workers would screenshot icons and tool-tips and blow them up and plaster the wall by his desk with them. For him it was quicker to just look at the labelled images on the wall instead of the actual toolbar
* @thinsoldier * There is compromise.. 100 strings with txt on GUI with 5-8cm or icon with 1cm (procesing of image as txt or pictogram is as resollution/time) Icons gives more workspace as pictograms. Take attention about Chinese or Japan.. compresed signs to describe words or sentences/process. The US/Latin habit here from civilisation and culture. Sometime icons are uncealr and blender still have this.. coz some of functions are too abstract maybe, or the proces of culture is not enough mature to force some icon and word in this type form. It's cognitive issue.
Bforartists has done this already.
