Include .IES Files When Packing External Data in Blender

When using Blender’s “Pack Resources” feature, which embeds external assets like textures and videos into the .blend file, .ies files are not included.

This becomes a critical issue for artists working with realistic lighting, especially in architectural visualization or any scene relying on photometric light profiles. When such a project is sent to a render farm, the absence of .ies files results in incorrect or altered lighting, since the light source loses its intended photometric behavior.

Automatically including .ies files when packing external data would be a simple but powerful enhancement, ensuring lighting consistency in collaborative workflows and remote rendering environments.

This has been asked on this ongoing feature:
#134518 - Image Texture Auto-Save - blender - Blender Projects
