Multi-threaded love for more blender functions
As beast multi-core computers get more and more mainstream it seams to make sense to update some functionality to utilise those multi core beasts. Some functions I noticed using only one thread what I think could use more:
Dependency graph whenever creating a new object, selecting one or editing in edit mode, removing one in a complex scene can take a whole lot of time. I guess it or some of it could be done on a multi threaded basis.
Shader compiling for eevee okay it hapens once when you start working but in complex files it can take a while.
File operations I don't know how much we could benifit from it becouse multiple things can cause bottlenecking with files but its just an idea that it may be nice to consider
VSE Its allready proposed and maybe eaven worked on so just puting it here for completions sake
simulations Its proposed allready

I'd love to see this as well. Does anyone know if any progress being made on adding more multi-threaded functionality to Blender?
I'd like to add the new Remeshing feature and various (performance intensive) Modifiers as possible targets for more multithreading support.
