Grease Pencil - Local View (of selected strokes)

It would be great if, when in Grease Pencil Edit or Sculpt modes, we could select View Local to toggle the display/visibility of un-selected strokes.

As an added bonus, similar to 3d, local view camera zooms and pans (view_camera_offset and view_camera_zoom) to center the selected strokes/points. Toggling out of local view would restore the initial view.

This would be nice, but it has the issue that you can already do view local in edit mode which does the object view local of isolating the object. So, either the edit mode view local would have to happen instead of object view local, or we would need two different view local commands for the object and its edit mode.

Good point.

I was aiming for a way to quickly isolate strokes. The hide command currently hides the selected layer.

Perhaps H hides strokes, Shift-H hides un-selected strokes, and Alt-H shows all strokes would be a more efficient. Looking at the api, strokes and points do not have a visibility attribute so it may not be a simple matter.

Yeah, I'm all for making better ways to isolate strokes. I mean, right now, when I want to isolate strokes I move them over 2 units, make my changes and then move them back. It's ok, but not ideal.

I voted for your stroke hiding proposal a year ago but unfortunately it hasn't really gotten any traction :/
