Export to File Using Object Name

I mainly use Blender (Version 4) to create 3D Objects which I then print via a 3D Printer, as such, I often split larger objects into smaller meshes, which I then export to STL or OBJ files. When exporting files, it currently defaults to the name of the Project File OR the name of the last file saved.

Is it possible to have an option that can be checked on/off to allow exports to use the Mesh Name as the Default file name OR can you specify a File Format in settings for a naming convention eg. <ProjectName>-<CollectionName>-<ObjectName>.

IF multiple Objects are selected within a Collection then the filename used is <ProjectName>-<CollectionName>, and if multiple Objects are selected from multiple collections then the <ProjectName> is used.

I have seen other similar posts, with responses saying this option has been ignored in the past, however, with 3D printing becoming more common, it would be great to consider those people who use Blender for things other than Videos, Gaming etc...

You could get ChatGPT to make a script for you.

Yes, this would be so nice to have it in vanilla blender. For now you can try Loom addon to just add a $CAMERA or $OB and some others to the output name. The addon also let's you define any other variable in settings with a python line like this: $VIEWLAYER = bpy.context.view_layer.name

This is really easy to do with Python scripts. Should only take a few lines. If you have never done anything with python, chatgpt might just do the job

It would be great if Blender supported Token in output names and paths. Those tokens could be any type of data from the scene. Object, dates, etc.
