Bundle nodes, Closure zone, and Repeat zone inthe compositor

Those nodes were recently added to the shader editor, but we still don't have them in the compositor. The bundles could be helpful in organizing, repeat zones could be useful in compositor simulation, and the closures could make node groups easier to customize and interface with. Really, most things that are useful in the shader editor are for. Screenshot 2026-01-19 125208.png

Also simulation zone would be good. The repeat zone could also allow for repeatedly adding effects, or if simulation zone isn't added, repeat zone could be used instead by connecting the iterations to the frame input of a scene time node.

I'm not sure how compositor would be able to have a simulation zone. I can imagine easily imagine how it would work, but since compositor is also used to composite frames right after they were rendered, how would the Simulation run ? Should you give it a time frame and then move to the next operation ?

I think it's a great idea, but this one would definitely require a lot more effort in terms of design at the very least

By time frame I meant frame range

Yeah, i wouldnt be so sure about the simulation zone in the compositor either. just with the fact that you could have a repeat zone and a frame value sorta devalues a simulation zone

By a simulation zone in the compositor, I meant basically just a repeat zone that repeats every frame, which would not be too difficult to add, but I suppose it wouldn't actually need it when the repeat zone can do the same thing.
