Brick Texture

Deep thanks to all the developers that with their work are contributing to developing Blenderto became the that it can be.
My goal with the post below is to present an idea of a possible improvemt to “Brick Texture”.
I found this texture very helpful but still, there is room for some ameliorations. It is necessary that I expalin my profetional background and the enviormnet which I am immersed.
Corrently I am working as a Landscape Architect and I relly would like to introduce Blender into my workflow especialy during the desing processes and maybe in the future will use
it for some VR project. Most of my job is regarding plants I also work with different kinds of material and especialy paving, differetn sizes of paving slabs and patterns.
For this reason, this “Brick Texture” will be vary useful in my day to day work and also will appeal to many ARCHITECTS.
The world presents a varaiety of textures and complexities.
The current “Brick Texture”
I am not highly skilled in using Blender however I found this tool very limited and restrictive in representing the variety of textures (as shown above) which exist in the world.

An example of a customised pattern can be found on “AutoCad” in the hatch tools.

To be fair, a lot of the referenced patterns in your proposal are not brick patterns. I know what you're looking for, but I personally don't think it really belongs mixed with the Brick texture node. Perhaps a new node for general patterns would be more appropriate. Or an add-on that provides these patterns as presets.
@Jason van Gamester: And this would be really cool if the pattern was generated algorithmically. Allowing you to take a simple function and plug new values in its chain, so that vectors could manipulate the size or shape as they do in the brick texture.
