Render selected passes only (Without Image)
Is it possible to render selected passes only without rendering the image. Because when I only need to render a certain pass, I have to wait for cycles to render the entire image first which can take a long time. For example, my render can take to 30 mins. and if I need to render the diffuse color only, i still need to wait for another 30 mins just for cycles to render my image first.
Hope you can consider adding this feature. Many thanks! :)

For things like diffuse/glossy color, mist, depth etc... your pass will be ok already at 1 sample. Color needs no further sampling. So set samples = 1 and render. Voilà!
* @ Lsscpp * ah yes, thanks. but it was just an example. if I need other passes like glossy direct, indirect, shadow etc.. i dont think that will solve the problem :(
* @fazaamaly * Most simple passes are already available after 1 sample indeed. Passes like 'indirect' require more samples. If you want to go even more complex, you'd end up with 'Light Path Expressions' (LPE) which are really powerful but also very difficult to implement and hard to understand for the typical artist. See examples:
AFAIK, Cycles does not support LPE at the moment.
* @Ivo * ah thanks. yeah, hopefully we can find it in future blender.
* @fazaamaly * if you want let's say diffuse indirect only, switch to branched pathtracing, boost up diffuse sampling while keeping the others at 1 (you have to pay that 1 sample tax). Ok, it's a workaround. Blender doesn't have what you ask
* @ Lsscpp * yeah, but thanks for giving me other solution though
