Simplifying value inputs

This is something I would consider nitpicking, but I've been doing alot of iterations with values that under rapid undergoing, I wish that if a user inputs a value, the suffix 'm' for meters or otherwise be disabled during input as an option?

I can imagine others would want it on for doing math in the value and maybe required to specify different metrics, but for me where the majority of my time in blender are tweaking minor values, it gets annoying to use the arrow keys or delete key until I get to the value itself. Either this request feels like I'm the 1% or not. But an option would be nice to save some finger pain.
