Ability to change default toggle
Everytime starting blender for a new project - I must go through a routine of changing presets that can't be saved as by default when adding/splitting new window.

Here's one more example:
Everytime choosing output to be a Video - the container is set to Matroska.
But I need it to be MPEG-4 all the time.
Does anyone know how can it be permanently changed?
Maybe there is some preset file in a blender folder?
If no, I guess we need this abillity!

AFAIK, aside from new data and operators settings, everything else can be configured as you want and saved in the startup file via File > Defaults > Save Startup File.
true as a preset it will stay, but once you manually add new window or change the output format, it goes to defaults which is anoiyng :| try it yourself.
