Add audio recording features to sequencer
It would be have audio recording options to the sequencer good for narrations. Plus addition of play back tools. Check the mock up for details

This website is for specific, actionable feature proposals. In order for this to be a complete proposal, you really need to provide more information. What would the user interface for this feature looks like? What buttons would the user click? How does this differ from having JACK support in Blender and doing the audio recording with a JACK-compatible application like Ardour?
Mock-up images are incredibly helpful in this case.
* @Jason van Gumster * You can record through JACK? That's fantastic. Have you ever done this before?
* @Josephbburg * I prefer to have my recording in blender some I have matching narrations with video
* @mittisimone * Ardour can do that, too. But it would be awesome to have it right there in Blender, getting JACK working is pretty tricky.
* @Josephbburg * Only once or twice. My original use case was to use Ardour for advanced audio editing when doing the final sequencing work on an animation. It worked reasonably well, though arbitrarily scrubbing at variable rates and directions isn't something that was handled as nicely as I'd like.
That said, for a streaming record session, JACK integration should work just fine.
* @mittisimone * That's fine that you want it, but you're going to have to produce a much more detailed design for your proposal. Otherwise, it's not particularly actionable.
Looks like it's getting there: VOICEOVER Natively in Blender? - Blender Tomorrow - YouTube
This add-on will do what you're requesting, but unfortunately it's Linux only: github.com/britalmeida/blender_addon_push_to_talk
