Make File Viewer remember filter settings

File Viewer should be able to remember your filter settings.

You should be able to make that a global setting or workspace context sensitive. Also you should be able to save the filter settings to your startup file.

For example, I would like to turn off the Folders in my viewer as I have to do that every time I open file viewer.

Below is a Screenshot of a snippet of Blender's source code, showing the file selection operator properties being set, with all the default values hard-coded. This means that changing the default requires rebuilding Blender. Thanks to Sybren A. Stüvel for the snippet.
