Enable or disable deformation for bone group

Blender has bone groups that convenient to change bone colour and easily select whole group, but why we can't mark bone group as deforming and enable deform option for all bones added in this group automatically, and disable this option automatically for bones in other groups. It will make rig setup much easier since you don't need to track which bone having deform option enabled and which not, especially when setting up rigs with hundreds of bones. For bones without bone group deform option can be left as it is, but for bones in group it can be greyed out and correspond to setting of the group itself.

Sounds good. Though how would it behave when different bones within the group have different Deform states themselves? Would the group setting just override it?

Aslo if I remember correctly, there were plans to port the collections' system to armatures too, in place of bone groups, meaning bones could be in different collections with contradictory setting. How to deal with that?

if groups have option something like "control deform fro all bones in the group", it can just override state of "deform" option in every bone in this group, that's the main point of the idea, few switches in the bone group setting and you can froget about tracking "deform" option for every single bone. about collections, i think it possible to give collection priority over the bone group, but i don't think it will be necessary since in basic workflow you have only one group for deformation bones and all other bones are mechanism, controller, all non deforming bones

How you imagine this option in UI/GUI? Can be in outliner? Eg. like in camera locker in request as bellow? Disable Selection not for camera (exist) object but vieport

two checkboxes under the bone groups list, fisrt something like "control deform option for all bones in the group" and second the "deform" switch itself
