Optional warning for shape key edits
Sometimes when I think I'm editing the basis, I find out later I had a shape key selected. Can we have an option in preferences to turn on something like "warning: You are about to edit shape key X".

But thanks for pointing that out to me. In the absence of a feature like I requested, i can try to make it a practice to look up there.
I guess it's not obvious enough for me. maybe draw a colored outline around the viewport window when editing shape keys...or the optional warning box I mentioned. I can't be looking up at that tiny text every time I make an edit to see if I accidentally have a shape key selected. I can't be the only user who has made that mistake.
