Rearrange fluid simulation settings
The cache area should be first because several buttons spread throughout the settings either apper or disappear depending on settings in there. (What happened to following the UI guidelines that resulted in the RENDER button being removed from the render tab???)
The cache fluid folder field is very very important because you can switch to an existing folder to re-use cache data that already exists and you can accidentaly overwrite an existing folder with new data unintentionally.
The most consistent pain point I see in forums/comments regarding simulations is that your scene frames is one length and your simulation cache frames are another length. Putting cache section first helps users find and change this faster.
It's very important the cache section be highly visible.
It might be good to place duplicates of all of those buttons in another section after the cache section. You can't bake or resume mesh without first baking or resuming the main data bake. You can't access the resume functionality without first setting the cache type, so cache section should be first.
There are 22 form fields AFTER the "Bake Data" button that affect how the data is calculated. The "Bake Data" button should really be after those fields.
The tool tip feature of the entire UI needs to support At least 1 solid paragraph of text and a lot of simulation fields need longer descriptions. If you've ever activated the extra extra extra detailed tooltips in zbrush, you know how damn useful it is to have that info at your fingertips within the UI itself.
There needs to be an explaination for why geometry used as fluid inflow only works when the geometry is bigger than a certain arbitrary size. There needs to be a warning in the console if you start a bake and the system knows your inflow geometry is not going to produce any fluid because it is too small.
