Dotted Axis Guideline for Negative Direction / Solid for Positive.
In the viewport, for the 3 main axis guidelines that go off forever (in 2.8), I think a dotted line should be used for the negative direction, and solid for the positive direction.
This would just help you get your bearings faster when rotating, manipulating, etc.
This could also apply during transformations, when you've locked an axis.

And for numeric input, you can immediately see whether you need to enter a positive or negative number for your transforms. I like it.
A mock-up would be really helpful in this proposal.
