Tone mapping options in camera settings (Useful for lighring setup and composition finalization before rendering & compositing)

Hello guys. I would like to propose a feature that would help blender artists to instantly enhance their composition righr before compositing.

This feature is called tone mapping under the camera settings. This step would be very essential whilr still in the process of modelling, giving the artist greater controll of the final output of the render.

Some might say that this is already in post production. That is correct but making this feature available beforehand would do multiple things. One would be to help the user easily idetify and decide which lighting setup or composition orientation would be highly ideal and efficient without the need for more heavier post precessing.

This would help prevent some possibilities of overriding and resetting your work because you have a better grasp already of how the possible render would closely look like. Whereas if there is no pre render tone mapping, you would have a hard time to know if you got the optimal setup for your render output. It would be impractical to render back and forth just to know if caught all the important shading/gradient information for your post processing applications.

I hope blender aould consider this feature. I believe this would be very useful and helpful in making a better render quality and speed.

Thanks.

What I would love is some kind of "Camera-nodes" where you can composite stuff like lens imperfections, including blooms, aberrations, dirt, etc... as well as exposure, white balance, tonemapping (as this proposal suggests), and things that you expect to find in a DSCR menu. Also per-camera resolution would be handy...
This would let us render something closer to a "photograph". Then in compositor one could add real postproduction stuff, like mix renderlayers, depth effects, color grading, etc...
I hope it's something possible that maybe one day can be implementd since now 2d screenspace effects are quite inexpensive for CPU/GPUs

* @ Lsscpp * One way for you to make this happen is to spread the word and probably invite them to upvote this proposal. Blender could have a lot of features in mind right now and making it trend help them see how moluchh artists would love to have it.

Your are ideas are great and those feaures can be great for blenders improvement in render quality. But atleast right now having the tone mapping option would be a big leap already. It is very handy when it comes to seeing and controlling the best possible result before post production, giving artists more advantage on how their render quality, especially the gradient shadings be preserved or emphasize witout having to render back and forth for a great amount of time. Time saver and greater quality production.

Yes, would be great to have more tone mapping operators in the compositor.
