Add Distorted Noise to materials textures
Distorted noise already exists as a texture for particles/displacement in 2.79. Just move it across to a Cycles/Eevee material texture.

I believe David means the full-featured old texture node with the name Distorted Noise. But what this does is not that complicated and and be reproduced with Cycles nodes (and that in a way more flexible way).
It just uses the first noise to distort the input coordinates of the second noise, which will be the final output. To be precise, the input coordinates of the second noise will be the input texture coordinates will the first noise value added. That's all there is about it.
What I wish for, though, is to get Voronoi F2 back into Cycles. This one is a little bit more complicated to build with nodes.
Cycles has had distorted noise for a long time, and by extension, so will Eevee. The Noise Texture node has a field called "Distortion" that can be adjusted.
