You should have recover autosave right on the splash screen

I've never been able to recover a crashed file, it always recovers the PREVIOUS session, not the one I was just in.., I wonder if maybe my autosave interval is too high?
Yup it could be put next to the Recover Last Session button.
Or maybe even display a list of autosaved files when they exist!
Unless you had several instances of Blender open at the same time with different files in them, you should be able to use Recover Last Session , right from the splash screen.
