External Contour as available edge type for grease pencil line art modifier
The freestyle method of doing line-artwork offers you the tick box for 'external contour' which basically just draws a line around the set of objects in your scene.
But for the grease pencil line art modifier, we only have contour. Which does something quite different. More lines and more detail, across all objects.
The external contour option is good for when you just want a single line around the entire mass of objects in your scene - kind of a grafitti style thing.

Implemented in version 3.3 developer.blender.org/rB6dd8ceef2a
it was commited a month ago, the silhouette option: developer.blender.org/D15109 , so it will be present in 3.3!
Thats cool! But silhouette doesn't give the exact same results as external contour does, in my tests at least, with the freestyle method. So I would hope for the actual external contour selection. But I guess I will wait for 3.3 and see!
