Child of constraint: Override parent(s)
Could be a godsend of an addition:
An "Override parents" toggle in the object/bone layer "childOf"/"armature" constraint to override all parenting constraints before/"above" it and the bone's "Bone properties"/object's "Object Properties" tab's "relations" dropdown's "Parent" entry while the overriding "childOf" constraint's influence > 0.
The set/clear inverse function should still work the same from the little I understand of how that works.
The reason would be to prevent the issues of multi parenting and remove the need to setup and use helper bones and/or objects and extra transform constraints.
To be fair a continuous 0-1 slider for "Override parents" would maximise control.
Clicks saved are time saved.

Could the String node benefit from a simple word wrap so that you could resize it and make it show the whole string instead of having to scroll through a one-line string? Sure!
But points about this allowing to store notes aimed at the user in the node editor and not to be used in the node tree, that's really going south imho.
We already have the Frame node that is meant to do that and already does it pretty well and with more flexibility thant the string node would do, and is available in shader and comp nodes too:
You mention you don't like it because of its character limit, but that's just an improvement to request on the frame node! Like other improvements like being able to type text directly in the node instead of using text data blocks to type in the text editor, or rich text support.
Plus, we have other complementary ways to document your node tree too. You can also use reroute nodes to sprinkle text little text strings without having big boxes around, and you can also use the annotation tool:
And there also have been other requests, such as being able to write notes in its properties in the sidebar (there's been an addon for it ):
