Keymap duplicates(repetition). Blender doesn't clean repeated hotkeys.

This should be reported as a bug through ticket.

Yes.

The converse SHOULD be allowed though: same function with multiple/alternate keypresses. Sometimes redundancy is Good.

* @jeric_synergy * In that case, it would be better to have the function mentioned once and have multiple keypresses assigned to it. This makes finding the function easier.

This happened to me on Machin3tools as well, I think the issue emerges when you enable, disable and then enable the addon again.

So it's not a bug: developer.blender.org/T78791 And it goes to "Keymap system refactor": developer.blender.org/T68884

But I like this behaviour. I just add new hotkey and disable previous. I like possibility to easy revert changes in no time..

cmykcat

* @impacman *Maybe you like it. Unlike others. But this is a real problem. Called a mess. The program should warn that the hotkey is already taken.

I can understand (and agree with) your point having the option to keep multiple operators assigned to the same key-binding. But the issue that's super annoying in my case at least, is that I have tons of carbon copies, i.e. the exact same key-bind for the exact same operator, multiple times listed in my Keymap. For that particular case, I don't see any reason for exact duplicates.
