Per-Pixel Displacement (Raytraced)
For a new revolution of rendering in blender i want submit this approch of Per-Pixel Displacement lies in its completely different approach compared to older techniques.
Instead of struggling with mesh subdivisions, it uses a ray-tracing system that casts rays for each pixel. The huge advantage? We can now achieve ultra-fine details without exploding the polygon count!
The trick is that it uses a 3D distance map that tells us exactly where to look for surface intersections. No more guesswork! As a result, not only do we get visually cleaner results (goodbye ugly junction artifacts), but it also runs incredibly well on recent GPUs that excel at pixel processing rather than vertex processing.
The performance gain is mind-blowing, while the old system would struggle as soon as we wanted fine details, Per-Pixel Displacement automatically adapts based on distance. On a recent graphics card, it runs smoothly even at high resolutions. It's truly the best of both worlds: insane detail and top-notch performance!

Btw is also introcued in New octane and this is an exemple of what is benefit !

there should be more vote for such proposal. ultimately we do 3d for rendering.
The people down voted this doesn't understand the features i think !
