Proposal: create shape from 3 curve projections
I found that blender is still incapable of doing this, even with paid add-ons, correct me if I'm wrong.
- Using Bezier curves:
- create top profile
- create side profile
- create front profile
- Result: our desired shape
Video with achieving what I described on top, using loft tools in 3ds max

Как минимум кривую по кривой можно запустить и запрофилировать радиусами узлов размеры. По произвольным профилям — добро пожаловать в аддон BSurfaces и его документацию. путь достижения будет иным, но суть та же, с лофтами. {attachment 2221444jpg}

* @thinsoldier * Not quite what I meant, your link is about regular loft between two splines . Check the video from the topic, the guy creates a top, front, and side projections of the mesh using spline , then creates a surface from those shapes.
Are you talking about nurbs curve lofting? There are nurbs curves and surfaces in Blender but I can't find anything about lofting them together in the UI.
* @thinsoldier * I think it's possible to achieve with both nurbs and mesh , it just depends on the right algorithm, current blender workflow with curves and nurbs is very weak from the tools perspective. I want to achieve similar results from the video example, it's very useful if you want something soft shaped like boats or aircraft.
