Pinned Collection in Outliner

Just as you can pin a Material Node Tree in the Shading Editor or an Image in the UV Editor, add the ability to pin a collection in the Outliner.

For example, if you're working on a collection that has multiple instances, you could pin the original one and keep it visible in a dedicated space at the top or bottom of the Outliner area. It would remain accessible even when selecting other objects, switching cameras, etc.

This would eliminate the need to reselect the original object or move the view, allowing you to focus on refining the image—especially for lighting.

Although I like the idea, you can do the same by typing your collection name to isolate it, and open a new outliner instance with your default search settings. The only downside is that you now have 2 outliners, cluttering the UI even more

Thank you for commenting on my post. Yes, this is the solution I've been using so far. It was to have a smoother and more integrated solution within the Blender interface.

I wonder how much having two outliners open consumes in terms of resources, especially with large scenes. Maybe my proposal would optimize things a bit.
