Thumbnails for Linking and Appending in the File Browser
Now that the Asset Browser brought thumbnails for objects, materials, etc., I think it would be extremely handy to have the same thumbnail preview when we need to Link or Append stuff from other blender files. It would make it way easier to find the desired object/material/collection... instead of relying solely on the name.

good idea
The thumbnails for marked assets are already displayed when you go to link or append. However, I do not think it is practical to save thumbnails for every item in the Blend file due to file size and performance. Rendering previews in the background as you browse the Blend file may also be impractical for performance.
