Automatically render still image to a new slot/temporary file.
This idea comes from cinema 4D where you can see every render in the image preview window as an image list even with automatic saving disabled.
Blender has similar functionality, but it's manual as far as I know. You have to select a new slot before each rendering. And I am pretty sure the slot count is limited to 8.
This would speed up the iteration based workflow, where I would test a different values of say motion blur and compare them. So in the case I forget to select a new slot or save the image I would still be able to have my previous test renders and compare them within blender.
