sculpting and texturing layers

i suggest this feature because it will help immensely why because us blender users will be able to add high amounts of detail and when its getting too lagging hide that high detailed layer then add another layer with different detail thus we will be able to add multiple levels of detail and will able to handle 10s of millions of polygons with ease and deliver higher quality results . mean while with texturing layers will be able add better artist detail and import different image onto our texture as tattoos also we will be able to better our texture leading to better results. i know there are two addons for texture and sculpt layers but a official feature as im proposing will be better because it wont have the limitations of the addons and will sync well with the program. adding this layer system to blender will cause a massive increase in blender sculpting users leading more attention thus more users comings in and the cycle repeats

These are planned. I doubt the sculpt layers will help with performance though.

If you are sculpting a 1 trillion poly mesh and it lags, it doesn't matter which layers you have active. Only the displacement info is stored in the layers, the mesh you are sculpting is still 1 trillion poly and lagging.

i know thats why blender should improve its performance by adding ability to handle a 1 billion polygons or a special trait like zbrush and 3d coat . 3d coat has voxels which are 3d pixels while zbrush has pixols which are pixels with depth so i think blender should have its own special trait bi pixels

this will be a massive leap and will put blender closers to zbrush in competition i high recommend adding this feature
