Field of View Can Be Renamed and Specified
It's a minor change, but it can make VFX previz a little smoother when recreating angle of view of a specific camera.
In the Camera Lens Properties Lens Unit can be set to Millimeters and Field of view. The name of the latter is problematic: if it is measured in degrees, then it's an angle of view, field of view refers to a slightly different thing (though they are often used interchangeably).
Apart from that an important piece of information can be added to the hover-over tip: that it is a horizontal, not a diagonal angle of view. (User manual also doesn't specify it.) This will allow users to confidently use their formulas without needing to first test these settings to understand what exactly do they mean.

Highly knowledgeable people should post on devtalk.blender.org/ because you actually know enough about the problem to explain and fix the problem if you can get a conversation going with actual developers.
small tip: it is not neccessarily horizontal. it depends on the sensor fit option in the camera dropdown. default is "auto" which goes by the longer side, but you can set it manually to horizontal or vertical.
In my opinion you should post something like this in the bug forum otherwise it will die out here, even though this is not a bug
