Array modifier additions for increased functionality
The new geo node based Array modifier is already a great improvement on the legacy one, but in using it I've identified some things I think would make it even more efficient and capable. A lot of these suggestions touch on the "circle" array shape built in
-
Allow for the reference point of the circle to be an assigned object/empty. Having to center the array around origo is quite destructive.
-
Add a function to "skip Nth iteration" similar to the checker deselect, being able to say "12 iterations, spawn 2, skip 1" would make the tool much more versatile
-
Arc circle array. I am aware you can technically do this using a curve but it is clunky, and simple being able to establish the portion of the circle that spawns iterations would speed up the workflow immensely
Given that the modifier is geo node based I will try to look into modifying it myself to these specifications but it's new territory for me and I hope I'm not alone in thinking these features would make the modifier more versatile and reliable.

I honestly find it far easier to just use a geometry node setup for any array work now than to actually use the new Modifier.
