I think blender should have more support for four-way scroll mouse
Both Davinci Reslove and Premire Pro have supported scroll left/right of the four-way scroll wheel to move the timeline, but blender only supports ctrl+scroll up/down. Besides, I can not change the shotrcut in blender directly because blender does not recoginze scroll left/right. I think supporting this kind of shortcut will make many people’s life easier.

Horizontal scroll has been available for months, and it's part of Blender 4.5 LTS.
Please before making a proposal or reporting a bug, test if the issue/feature still happens in the latest Blender (daily build if possible).
Oh sorry, I'm still using 4.2 and I didn't notice that. I think I need to update my blender right now.
No worries, it's a reminder of how fast Blender develops :)
Although Blender 4.2 is more than a year old, released in July 2024.
