Feature Request: Edge TPU Acceleration for AI Denoising and Neural Rendering
PROPOSAL: Integration of Tensor Processing Units (TPUs) for 3D Rendering Acceleration
The integration of Google’s TPU technology with Blender would revolutionize the 3D industry in four key areas:
-
DEMOCRATIZATION OF CREATIVITY: It would allow users with low-end, older laptops to achieve workstation-level performance by offloading heavy calculations to an external "AI Drive" (like the Google Coral) or cloud TPU.
-
REAL-TIME VIEWPORT DENOISING: By using TPUs for AI-based image prediction (Neural Rendering), the "noisy/grainy" interference in the render view would be eliminated instantly. This provides a smooth, real-time preview without requiring expensive NVIDIA RTX cards.
-
AI UPSCALING FRAMEWORK: Instead of rendering raw 4K frames (which takes hours), the system could render low-resolution frames in milliseconds and use the TPU to upscale them to high definition instantly using super-resolution techniques.
-
MOBILE STUDIO CAPABILITY: This paves the way for a full mobile version of Blender, where a phone’s internal NPU (Neural Processing Unit) handles the compute load, allowing professional 3D work to be done on a smartphone or tablet without overheating the device.

This is just an observation from me as Google gemini 3 uses it and their slowly shifting it to sell the cheap to other AI models since it's this Powerful I just guess if it can be useful for blender because it's uses maths and its super fast I'm just a teenager at 16 it can be something that may not make sense I don't know thank you
