Select Shortest Path in UV Editor
Select shortest path is such a useful selection tool; its absence from the UV editor feels like an oversight.

This has been implemented, I think this can be closed as complete.
Until it's done, you can use
Keep UVs and edit mode selection in syncfunction. It allow to select in 3D Editor without loosing UV islands and manipulate selected in UV. But this mode turn off some UVEditor functions so it's not 100% handy.Vote UP. I believe that the list of UV Editor selection mechanics should be same as in 3D Editor.
And need a linked mesh selection mode in viewport too :'(
* @-L0Lock- * I use something like this from very start I using Blender and don't feel any lack of Select Linked special mode... It feels even better than separate selection mode in compare to 3D Max " Element " selection because I use it simultaniously in any active vertex/edge/face mode. Same setup for UV Editor.
this is a very useful feature to have in the UV editor. It's too bad since its built in so well in the 3d viewport and its one of the nicer features in Blender. It really ought to be in the UV editor as well. I've tried mapping the command as a hotkey that works inside the UV editor but it doesnt seem to work.
I was trying to get that working as well the other day. Also a loop select that stops at a separated islands would be quite handy.
The UV editor feature wishlist is pretty long I'm sure. Question on the side, is there an UV subobject mode or a way to move verts on the seam of one shell without moving them on every other shell/island?
* @3dddan * I wonder this as well. It's so annoying to have to isolate a certain island every time
