Enhanced Extrude (does not create inside out meshes)
This is a replacement for the extrude command that automatically fixes normals, preventing the common inside out extrusions.

It would be nice if you could also include your problem and solution here as text. It's more easily searchable and readily understandable for people with poor network connections.
Pretty neat, maybe it is realy a better extrude tool. That could even replace the current tool.
Though, the function the create a vert if nothing is selected seem a little bit weird to me...
@aryeramaty: it might be confusing since it's not extruding from something, but i like how economical it is. Blender is already so hotkey heavy it seems really wasteful to have a hotkey that just does nothing when you don't have a selection, and at least this way it's tangentially related.
@eldee.smith: you right in term of economic and utility, but I think the devs prioritize consistent and logical hotkey.
For example you can see the "alt a" controversial change.
So, if you suggest to replace the original extrude, I assume it's should follow the "Blender logic" (I hope my English isn't too bad...)
such a needed fix.....Ive never had to flip/recalculate normals so often like nowdays spent in blender.....max, nor may dont do that, why blender? (I know why, its negative value - would be very handy to fix this)
In general this is a very nice thing to have. It only should NOT entirely replace the current system. Since this is an optional addon already it might be a good idea to have it as a "enable smart extrude" function. Or a smart extrude tool, entirely (doesn't actually need to be a real new tool but just a config to enable this addon).
The reason for this is that you sometimes really do want to extrude inside and have the normals flipped inside. Maybe you actually do want to extrude-slide instead of extruding outwards. When I am creating game assets, rooms often will only have inwards facing polygons and geometry. If the tool was smart enough to always fix this for me when I actually want or need to work like this then I'd be very, very annoyed soon. So basically I would not call the current tool broken. it's not. I would call the AddOn smart extrude . But it should not replace the existing tool by any means.
