Greenscreening in the VSE
The VSE is Blender's best kept secret - still the best open-source video editor hidden inside Blender. But it's missing any chroma-keying options. Now we have access to fonts - a chroma key modifier would be very handy.

This is exactly what I'm struggling with too ATM. I am using VSE for basic editing and it has a lot of cool functions, but I haven't yet found a way to remove the greenscreen from a clip INSIDE VSE! I tried the compositor and I think I got it to work, but from what I understand, that is a separate entity from the VSE and it can export the video separately, not as part of VSE. I also tried to add a "compositor" output node, to try to "force" the renderer to catch it, but that only renders the chroma key video then, not the whole VSE timeline, again very frustrating. So, I'm thinking, is there a way to better integrate the compositor node interface in the VSE or even better, like some other video editors, just a simple interface to select a clip and tick "enable chroma key" and a few options for that (E.g. Shotcut editor)
this addon can help you to remove you sequencer video green screen youtu.be/zF_w31oV4mw you can use blender like after effect
can you pay somebody off fiber like 30 bucks to help design you a better presentation for your gum road site and for your videos that you posted here ....This could be a real treat for the community... but first make sure the add on is updated for blender 3.4.1... it's put together in such a way I'm not even sure if I wanna buy it but I'm definitely intrigued There's nothing really like this online
you can use the keying or Chroma key node in the Compositor
* @Fynndus * yes, but the connection between vse and compostor isnt great.
* @mikefutcher1 * I'd like to see a tighter integration between the two. Kdenlive has composting effects and strip effects and it works pretty well. I imagine Blender could do the same thing, even with a node-based workflow.
* @Josephbburg * Agreed. I think that is the more important topic here. If there was a simple way to bounce between the VSE and compositor like in Davinci Resolve it would make VFX work a ton easier and more fluid
* @Zach Hixson * I would like to see a detailed proposal for better VSE/Comping Nodes integration.
