Feature Request: I wish if we can set or control the final look of a cloth simulation.
It's like morphing between the rest shape and the final shape so we can specify what the final shape will look like. And this will tell blender that the simulation should end here so the animation of the cloth should slow down until it stops.
This should be like the morphing using shape keys. But shape keys are linear. Cloth simulation will be cloth-like for the in-between frames.
Why is this useful?
I have a character that runs then falls down and sits on the ground. Blender doesn't know that the character now is setting down and its clothes shouldn't be moving at all or have very little slow movements.
Because of the squeezing in the armpit area, the cloth collides and bounces and the clothes blow as if there's an increasing wind until artifacts appear.
Second, even if the cloth doesn't blow weirdly. The final position isn't good because the lower part of the T-shirt stuck with the chest due to the falling down of the character. So, I think it would be more helpful to tell Blender what the final shape should be.
Many trials have been made before asking here but with no avail. Finally, I would like to thank all the developers, programmers of blender and people who support us. You're doing a great job. God bless you and your families.
