IK FK Snapping?
As far as I know, the only way to have a fk chain or an ik chain snap positions with each other is with rigify or auto rig pro. Could we just have the IK/FK snapping as a seperate addon?

AFAIK, to snap an IK chain to an FK chain, you need to know exactly how they are each built and know which bone to snap to which one. Hence, so far most scripts that do that are the ones that generate their own rig are able to do that.
To make an addon that could work on "any" rig, it will require the user to analyze the rig and manually pinpoint which bones to snap to and from, if the rig is even built in a way that is compatible with the addon's method of snapping.
I was thinking that the addon could snap bone position by looking for a specific naming convention. something like Upperarm.R.FK.001 snapping to Upperarm.R.IK.001. as long as the side of the bone, the bone type, and its number are listed in that order, the addon shouldn't have a problem copying their visual transforms. Thats the idea atleast.
The big issue is that there isn't a standard naming convention, there are plenty of them. And in addition to that, there also are many ways to make rigs that may or may not work very well with a specific methog of snapping.
Hence, again, the only two viable options are to either make a snapping system for a specific rig (like Rigify does) or make a system than can work to some extent with user-specified bones, like this one:

If you make your own rig, you can also use this kind of solution:
