Blender UV borders

  • It would be great to add a feature for setting up UV borders in Blender, allowing users to adjust the pixel width. This functionality would help users inspect models with numerous UV islands more effectively. On the left is Maya's UV border display, and on the right is Blender's current visualization. 5.png

This is sorely needed.

This would also benefit feedback for myself to see if any piece needs stitching intendent. I can't tell if they are without having to nudge them or find them accidently.

I am currently working in a project where necessary to fix geometry for LoDs, in the Polygone reduction process UVs break often and vertices need to be stitched together all the time. Because this feature is missing, that process is a pain. As I am required to frequently, remove seams - mark islands as seams and then select all seams again. to see where the UVs are still disconnected. So this should definitely be added to the UV Editor to see right away if the UV has any open edges or errors. The reason for it in my case is that each open edge adds an additional vertex which when it happens in masses can be bad for performance in game engines.
