UV unwrap, Cube projection in local space.
I often unwrap objects using the "Cube projection" method. This method currently uses "world space" to do the projection. It would be nice if it could also use "local space".
For instance: I create an object representing a brick wall. I have a material that I know has the right dimension for a 1 to 1 cube projection. But the wall is rotated 45 degrees... The map is then streched because it is unwrapped in world space. If it could have been unwrapped in the rotated local space that would be very convenient.

Blender already cube projects in local space by default. If you haven't applied the rotation for an object whose faces have been rotated off-axis (i.e. 45 degrees), it should already work as expected.
Thats interesting. I actually see that the model I get from other software is not aligned with its local space. That explains it! Thanks. This promts the idea to have an easy way to rotate local space :D
You can already do that too: Hit Ctrl + . (period) to make an object's origin editable. Then hit R and do whatever rotations you need.
