Resolution: Toggle between Landscape and Vertical Orientation

Right now we have to manually change the Orientation by typing in the X and Y px value.

It would be comfortable to have a button to change between landscape and vertical Orientation.

For example DaVinci Resolve has this and also Photoshop.

What will happen with this?

Simply rotate 90Β° your camera πŸ˜‡

Hi Dinesh, while your suggestion will alter the aspect ratio to be what the user desired, it will also result in your image being sideways, and needing to be rotated 90 degrees in the opposite direction to be oriented the right way, which also means that it goes back to being the wrong aspect ratio again.

If a user types the X resolution into the Y resolution box (and vice versa), they will get the correct image and will not need to rotate the camera or the render.

It’s not the same

just for comfort to make life easier and for avoiding mistakes

SpectralVectors

Hi beiderhake, I agree with your suggestion. I have implemented it as a free addon, you can download here: github.com/SpectralVectors/FlipRes

Theoretically, the addon could be integrated directly into Blender, if it was a feature that the devs wanted.

Enjoy!
