Custom Workspace and Panels Suggestion

I’ve been coding panels for the past few months with object properties, but soon realized I wanted to try something that requires more space; like a lot more space. A whole screen area of space. This is when I came up with what I believe where Blender could make a significant improvement. This is making a new Workspace with unique panels and design features. When I tried to code a custom Workspace on my own, I found out I would have to use C/C++ code to somehow build a new Workspace work-around. I was hoping there would be code in the API I could use to make my own Workspace. Sadly I’m not good with C/C++ and my only current knowledge is Python scripting.

Since this is out of my realm of possibilities of the moment, especially with work, I wanted to raise the the idea here as a sugestion. Therefore, my highest implored suggestion would be to make a way to create one’s own custom Workspace with the ability to create a blank empty canvas ( which is a empty window/screen/ area), header panels, footer panels, side panels, and hovering/pop-out panels where a coder can create all sort of custom buttons, extendable menus, and features for custom tools and project experiments. I’ll attach an example image below. If we can implament such features in code within the API, I beleive it would prove extremely valuable to coders.

Overall, I believe having a custom Workspace feature can allow coders to not only use custom panels but to make full custom window-area tools which would incentivise Blender scripters to make better and more amazing tools with more ease, variety, and customizability. That’s my suggestion. Have a good one. customWorkspaceExample.png
