Toggle to Temporarily Reset Rotation (For easier editing)

Hi! I think it would be extremely useful to be able to disable an objects rotation then enable it again.

If you position an object and want to edit it later it's not an easy task.

Maybe adding a button (on Local View? On the objects panel?) to disable the rotation temporarily would be an awesome feature! Even on Sculpt Mode it would be very useful. Like if you sculpted a character and want to edit after positioning the head etc.

Hi, what I do is use keyframes, if you're not at the animating stage then is pretty obvious that how that works, if you have started animating then you simply need to disable the rotation channels in the dopesheet/timeline then hit alt+R

The way it's done now is by creating an instance of the object and clear rotation on this one. And it's better this way because you can appreciate the original in location while you edit.

* @Ge Ro * not better really. I already use this is my workflow and it's way too complicated. :/

* @GabrielMoro * I don't see what is complicated in using 2 shortcuts instead of 1

* @GabrielMoro * I use instancing with rotation cleared or align view to selection for this purpose.

Why make instances when you can just set keyframes once and jump between frames ? It's even better because you can set any transform states you want and as many you like.
