Compositor Color Balance

Could we change the default mode in the color balance node from Lift/Gamma/Gain to Offset/Power/Slope? It mangles the color data and creates issues, (as well as many of the blending modes in the mix color node). If you can't change it from default for whatever reason, it should at least have some indication of what it will do with the color space and color values. This way the user won't need to be confused in the future.
