Change slow in and slow out default interpolation to linear
Question is why this interpolation is there by default? I would like to propose changing this interpolation to default linear. I think some/many ppl do only turntables from time to time and it is a bit confusing to even remember, that it has to be changed by user each time.
Edit: Thanks to all for your opinions. Tbh I am surprised, that such simple can be such controversial.

If you want to make Linear the default, you can do so in the Preferences.
Thx. I am not sure if it where there all the time or I missed it somehow.
It's always been in the animation section in the Preferences
I understand, that I should noticed it, thx.
That's your user case. Many people actually don't do turntables at all and do animate a bit more than "from time to time".
I'd argue that the people who do animation the most actually never use "only" linear.
Many people do character animation, VFX, crowd sims and plenty of other things that use many different interpolation modes on a daily basis. These people spend 40 hours per week creating and editing keyframes. These are not a minority. There is no reason to prefer linear over bezier as a default.
However, you as a user, are free to customize your Blender to your needs.
You are very right. For many slow in/out may be their option. I still would say, that it may be minority but there is no need to discuss it (we agree to disagree). Agreed, that customizing Blender is a key thing but it can always be used in both ways - to support some things, that especially for beginners will be confusing.
So, you've made a feature request without looking into your preferences yet, if the optoin already exists? - nice one. imgur.com/ptNaRRY
It does not change anything besides it is true I missed that. By default it would be better to have linear due to reasons I already mentioned. Minority can change it to slow in/slow out.
edit: Just try to look at this from new users perspective. Will it be confusing or not among many other things, so imo eliminating some of them is a move in right direction.
"It does not change anything" I dont really get that, you set it to linear, all your new keyframes will be linear!? you want to get rid of the toggle? something has to be the default, and for some1 animating, well anything moving really (except mechanical things) you want bezier. All in all you have 3 types, throw a dart and set it as default you will piss off atleast 2 people. I personally have it set to linear, so I can block-out my key poses.
Also, for your specific use case of a "turntable" that is soooo often used blender includes an addon by default which makes a turntable in one-click, i dunno why you compare mouse-clicks here if you could have a single press
"It does not change..." - I meant, that my bad reasearch does not change my opinion, what interpolation is more intuitive. I am looking on it from beginner perspective. Flying ships from left to right, turntables, many other simple animations, that ppl will be playing with, may surprise them by default slow in/slow out. As someone above wrote - anyone can customize, so no one should be angry if his option is not default, but beginners will be more happy then the others.
So, a beginner learning the basics of animation has to dig through preferences in your opinion? Setting to linear by deafult removes everything from typical animation basics such as: Squash and Stretch. Considered the most important principle, “squash and stretch” gives a sense of weight and volume to drawn objects. ... Anticipation. Almost nothing happens suddenly. ... Staging. ... Straight Ahead. ... Follow Through and Overlapping Action. ... Slow In and Slow Out. ... Arc. ... Secondary Action.
None of that's possible with stricks linear animation without keying every frame. Bezier is the only type that gives all the control over timing.
