Falloff nodes tools for Geometry nodes

I just heard that there will be a Geometry Tools workshop taking place soon.

I would promptly suggest exploring the field of ready-to-use falloff nodes.

For example:

Linear falloff node: Based on objects moving in space to drive the parameters of the instances leaving them in the end state behind itself.

Object falloff node: Same but tweaking the parameters by the proximity of an object moving around the instances.

Another suggestion: Random falloff node, Curve falloff node, Stepped falloff node etc.

These are just simple examples. Some of them are easy to do from scratch and some need a bit of work.

Anyway, it would be great to have a group of falloff nodes ready to use.

I agree, creating a "linear falloff" is very complicated, with "geometry proximity" it is easy to make a "spherical falloff" but I have no idea of making a linear one (without complicating by hours)

dimitar

These types of fallofs are already possible with geometry proximity and remap range nodes

I mention that. but we need to have ready to use one click solutions

dimitar

have you tried making your own groups? unfortunately, at the moment, geometry nodes is not shaping up to be a one click solution of sorts, but I've seen many people make huge lists of groups to make it easier to achieve desired results easier.

Dimitar, there will be a developer workshop for this kind of solution and I just making a suggestion for it. Thanks for the help, though.
